What Is DesignShop?
DesignShop is going to be such a game-changer for homeowners and designers alike! As a paint color consultant, I’ve used Samplize with my clients for years. However, I can absolutely see myself using DesignShop to help my clients visualize paint colors with other hard finishes.

How to Use DesignShop Samples (My Experience)
Before ordering any samples, I created my own mood boards on Canva to decide which materials to order. I used the catalog photos from Design Shop and dropped them into my mood board templates.

I also tried out DesignShop’s visualization feature, and it worked very well. This tool allows you to see how materials will look together in a space and then order directly from the page. If you’re not sure where to start with a design, you can also explore their design inspiration section and sample products used in the photos.
Ordering DesignShop Samples
My next step was to order the materials for my four kitchen palettes. DesignShop has the same easy-to-use interface as Samplize and they even include Samplize peel-and-stick samples in the inventory. The ordering process was easy and everything came to my house the next day packaged together in the same box.
Unboxing DesignShop Samples
Just like with Samplize, the samples arrived by FedEx the day after I ordered them. They are relatively inexpensive. My samples ranged from $3 to $7 each. This is minimal compared to the cost of making a mistake on your hard finishes, which can happen if you don’t see them in person.
The samples arrived without one broken piece of tile. The unpackaging experience was amazing. Once I removed the plastic, they were loose and easy to move around.
Each sample had a card that you could link to the QR code. The QR took me back to the website, where I found more information about the product including where to buy, installation images, and product questions.
There is no substitute for seeing finishes in person and in the room, as you can with DesignShop! I used the samples to create real-life mood boards for each of the kitchen color combinations I designed. It was such an easy process, and I know my clients will love it!
