A Laundry Room makeover is quick and easy with paint colors. I love a laundry room makeover because it’s low risk and high reward with a minimal time commitment. This dreamy laundry room was transformed with nothing but paint.
Before
Check out the before picture – the laundry room was in need of a serious update with dated brown cabinets and peachy walls from the late 1980’s.
The Color Palette
The color palette was chosen to tie in with the hard finishes, both the terra cotta floor and backsplash as well as the washing machine.
We picked a clean and crisp white color without cool or warm undertones for the ceiling, trim, cabinets, and doors. Sherwin Williams Extra White SW 7006 was perfect because it tied in with the white washing machine, and was also the door and trim color for the rest of the house. The ceiling was painted with a flat sheen and the trim with a satin sheen.
The walls were painted with a muted light green color, Sherwin Williams Sea Salt SW 6204 because of the way it complemented the terra cotta floor. It absolutely glows in this sun-drenched room with southern exposure.
The Verdict
This Laundry Room makeover is absolutely luminous with a muted green color, SW Sea Salt that complements the terra cotta floor tile. The ceiling, trim, cabinets, and doors were painted with a clean white, SW Extra White to tie in with the washing machine and trim throughout the house.
Every corner of this sun-drenched room is beautiful, and the southern exposure makes these plants thrive.
